FAQs

What are the electrical requirements?
Depending on the model, it can be either 110V or 240V. If there is a specific spa model that stands out to you, get in touch with us and we can let you know the exact specs for that spa.

How much does a hot tub add to my electric bill?
Depending on the weather, set water temp, and insulation it can range from $30-$60 dollars per month.

How do I fill up my spa?
Always fill your spa from the filter compartment. This allows the pipes to fill first, helping prevent a common issue called "air locking" the heater. If you end up with an error code immediately after filling your spa, it is good practice to turn the spa off and on to help purge the lines.

When should I add chemicals?
Unless the instructions explicitly state to add once the spa is up to temperature, you can start sanitizing and balancing your spa immediately. It is good practice to test the spa at least once a week. We offer free testing in store!

What chemicals do I use?
There are a large variety of systems that exist. The most common are bromine and chlorine. There are also alternatives to these like Sirona Simply and Pristine Blue. Come by or call us if you are unsure which system would be best for you!

Why am I getting a flow code on my spa?
This is a very common code to see (e.g. FLO, LF, FL1, FL2). It is best to start with ruling out common choke points like your filters and the filter compartment. Remove existing filters from the spa and reset it at the breaker. Allow the spa to do its start-up sequence and see if the error returns. If it does not return, your spa needs new filters. If it does return, give us a call to get set up for a service appointment as it can be anything from a flow switch to a bad pump causing this error.

Can I recess a spa in my deck?

Yes, you can put your spa in any area you desire. But it is good to understand how this can affect any warranty services that are needed. It is not the manufacturers nor our responsibility to make your spa accessible for repair. This means that any additional costs are not covered and depending on the situation, may require a crane to get the spa out of the recess.
